Our Approach


Elevate Performance offers Physical Therapy, Fitness & Wellness classes, and Sports Performance Training for people of all ages! We are alleviators of pain without the use of medication or surgery. We are coaches of movement. Promoters of lifelong wellness. We are a Physical Therapy Experience unlike any other. We are a family.

We are in pursuit of fusing healthcare and fitness. We believe performance is specific to YOU! Whether it is exercising for the first time, being able to play with your grandkids, training for your first 5k, or accomplishing your goal of earning an athletic scholarship, we want to help you achieve what drives YOUR passion.

Our mission is to empower YOU to reach YOUR goals through hands-on therapy, instruction in appropriate corrective exercise technique, and education on how to self manage your pain for lifelong wellness. We believe patients rehabilitating from injuries deserve 100% of their therapist’s attention. At Elevate, your Physical Therapy will always be One-on-One with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Our fitness & wellness classes use our medical background to safely modify and progress the exercises. All of our classes utilize heart rate monitors to track cardiovascular response to changes in exercise intensity and ensure safety at all times. At Elevate, we provide you with the appropriate education, skills, and coaching to increase your confidence with movement, and enhance your life. We pride ourselves on providing the Black Hills Community with a fun and comfortable environment for both individual and group fitness training.

Doctors of Physical Therapy have extensive education and training on the human body, especially the musculoskeletal system. The "traditional" model of Physical Therapy would involve an athlete utilizing our services AFTER sustaining an injury. At Elevate we believe it is important for our athletes to establish foundational strength and learn appropriate movement patterns and exercise technique to PREVENT injuries and pain. These principles will ultimately improve performance. Our goal is to keep athletes in the game.

Dr. Rhianna Wickett, PT, DPT, CSCS


Rhianna graduated from the University of South Dakota (USD) with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and an EMT. While at USD, Dr. Wickett researched the effects of various treatments including manual therapy and exercise on trigger points, which is a common cause of pain within the shoulder girdle. She has also completed The Otago Exercise Program: Falls Prevention Training, an evidence-based fall prevention certification. Her clinical studies emphasized Women's Health, Neurological and Vestibular Conditions, and Orthopedics. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in pre-medicine from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology after completing two years of Industrial Engineering education. Rhianna grew up with a love of ballet and was a dancer for almost 20 years. She is passionate about providing each patient individualized care backed by the latest research and educating patients about their condition to make lifelong changes. She has completed continuing education in women's health physical therapy to treat a wide range of conditions relating to pelvic floor health throughout the lifespan, including pre/post-natal conditions, incontinence, prolapse, sexual dysfunction, and pelvic pain. In her free time, Rhianna enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, family, friends, and dog Zippy.

Dr. Britt Wickett, PT, DPT, CSCS


Britt graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dr. Wickett has also completed The Otago Exercise Program: Falls Prevention Training, an evidence-based fall prevention certification. At the University of South Dakota, Dr. Wickett conducted research involving the flexibility of aging athletes at the National Senior Games. He has also volunteered at USD athlete screenings and Special Olympics FUNfitness. His clinical studies emphasized Sports & Orthopedics, Rural Medicine, and Geriatric Health. Britt is a Brandon, SD native and participated in football, basketball, and track at Brandon Valley High School. He graduated from Division II Southwest Minnesota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and minor in Coaching. While attending SMSU he was a wide receiver for the football team and helped the Mustangs to their 1st ever Mineral Water Bowl appearance in 2013. In his free time Britt enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, friends, and dog Zippy.

Zippy holds herself to high standards as the Elevate Performance Public Relations Manager. Through Zippy's life experiences, she has also earned the title of Expert Adventurer and Nap-taker. Zippy truly believes that a well-rounded life of running, playing, napping, and snacking on any doggie treats or peanut butter are the secrets to a happy life!
